Pinky

Photographer Darren Hall shoots ageless pink lady and dancehall queen, Pinky. I came across this article on I-D online. Instantly fell in love with her she is such a diva! 

This is Pinky from Brixton. She laughs when you ask her age and can’t remember where her clothes are from but has the best answer to “define your style” we’ve ever heard: “I just put on what the universe tells me to”. So pretty in pink, Pinky is a dancehall queen, big on the dancehall scene. She describes herself as “compassionate, righteous. sunshine, harmony and love” and claims she’s always falling in love. Her favourite song at the moment is Jeremiah “Down on Me”, featuring 50 Cent about bumping and grinding but it’s the beat she’s after. Pinky hopes for “peace, love, equal rights and justice for all”. She’s going out this weekend but who knows where, depends on what the universe says. She’s Destiny’s child.
